How long does a typical upgrade take?
Most projects take 6 to 16 weeks. Smaller websites can be done in under 2 months. You will receive an exact estimate after an audit.
Will we lose content or the current design?
No. Both content and data are migrated using the Kentico Migration Tool. Most clients keep their existing design – redesign is optional and often happens in a later phase.
Is it a one-click upgrade?
No. The transition from K13 to XbyK is a managed migration – the platform is completely redesigned. An experienced partner therefore has a significant impact on the cost and duration of the project.
What happens if we miss the December 2026 deadline?
The website will continue to operate but without security updates, support, or compliance assurance. This entails higher risks and gradually increasing costs without vendor support.
How much does the upgrade cost?
The price depends on the complexity of your solution. After a free audit, you will receive a transparent fixed offer. Most projects start from EUR 25,000 / CZK 600,000.
Do we need to redesign the website?
Not necessarily. We can upgrade the platform without changing the design. Many clients choose to redesign in the second phase, after the new solution has stabilised.
Will our integrations (CRM, analytics, eCommerce) remain?
In most cases, yes. XbK uses open APIs. During the audit, we will review all integrations and highlight any necessary changes.
What is the difference between an upgrade and a migration?
An upgrade means moving from K13 to XbK while preserving content and data. A migration means moving from another CMS and building the solution from scratch.
